These terms govern your use of Rephrase. By downloading or using the app, you agree to them. For how your text is handled, see the Privacy page.
Rephrase is a macOS application that rewrites text you select using a large language model. To do this, the text you select is sent to our backend and an LLM provider to generate a rewrite. See the Privacy page for exactly what is sent and what is retained.
Rephrase is currently in an open beta and is provided free of charge. Features may change, break, or be removed, and the service may be interrupted without notice. Paid plans may be introduced later; you will be told before anything you use starts to cost money.
You agree not to use Rephrase to generate unlawful, harmful, or abusive content, to attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer the service, or to process content you do not have the right to process. Use of the underlying LLM provider is also subject to that provider’s own terms.
You keep all rights to the text you submit and the rewrites you receive. Your writing is not used to train models, and rewrite content is not stored by default. You are responsible for reviewing rewrites before you rely on or send them.
Rephrase is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. Rewrites are generated automatically and may be inaccurate, inappropriate, or incomplete. You use the output at your own discretion and risk.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rephrase and its author are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app or its output.
These terms may be updated as Rephrase evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page, and continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised terms.
